Bristol Palin, one of Americas most famous political daughters, is outraged that President Obama is taking advice from his own children. The 21-year-old lashed out at the commander-in-chief, who said Malia,13, and Sasha,10, helped influence his decision to support gay marriage. While its great to listen to your kids ideas, theres also a time when dads simply need to be dads, the former Alaska governors daughter argued in a blog on Thursday. It was aptly titled Hail to the Chiefs Malia and Sasha Obama. Palin a single mom herself then argued children are raised in homes where...

I caught Jamie Lynne Grumets interview on CNN. Shes the 26-year-old Los Angeles mother who thought there nothing shameful about being pictured on the cover of Time magazine with her 3-year-old boy sucking her breast. Our family is a little different than the average family, she laughed. But it was no laughing matter. Times ungodly cover is kiddie porn dressed up as journalism. It will probably be a best-seller among demonically-influenced sickos out there who get off on the sexualization of children. Yet Time magazine defends its cover, which it timed to coincide with Mothers Day the one Sunday...

(CBS News) Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney said Thursday that while he opposes same-sex marriage, he is "fine" with gay couples adopting children. The presumptive nominee also declined to criticize President Obama's reversal on the issue, saying he would "respect the right of the president to reach the conclusion he has." In his most detailed comments to date on the issue of civil rights for gay people, Romney told Fox News television host Neil Cavuto, "I know many gay couples that are able to adopt children. That's fine. But my preference is that we ... continue to define marriage as...

Jamie Lynn Grumet, the 26-year-old mother featured on the cover of Time magazine breastfeeding her 3-year-old son, has done more this week than become the poster woman for attachment parenting, the sometimes laudable movement that advises parents to be physically and emotionally available and responsive to their children. She has shown the limits of such a concept, and the ways in which it can be twisted into a bizarre, contemptible caricature of itself. Grumet is a model, and models have to have at least healthy dose of narcissism (television journalists like me, too, by the way). But I fear Grumet...

May 10, 2012 11:24am Time Cover Shows 3-Year-Old Breast-Feeding This week's cover of Time Magazine shows a mother nursing her 3-year-old son. Should a mom continue nursing her child even after hes too big to be held in her arms? For mothers who practice whats known as attachment parenting, the answer is an emphatic yes and some are more than happy to demonstrate. This weeks cover of Time Magazine shows Los Angeles mother Jamie Lynne Grumet nursing her 3-year-old son, who reaches her breast with the help of a chair. When you think of breast-feeding, you think of mothers...

aybe it's the culture in Los Angeles, but every time I go to a different grocery store, there are so many options for children in the grocery cart, I wonder what's next: A teenager cart equipped with an Xbox? I've seen infant seats, booster seats, plastic cars that fit two toddlers or big kids attached to the front of the cart, and carts that have a traditional seat that fits two kids instead of one. But even with all of these options, we can never be too safe when it comes to putting our children on top of a shopping...
